Rosa Garder

The Impact of A Rose by Kirk Parker 2005 Written for memorial service held at Carol's Books Rosa Parks' non-violent demonstration of her inalienable rights is both more powerful and far reaching than most people acknowledge. She helped an entire nation to begin looking at itself in the mirror. In taking her action she continued a process started by women like Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth. Her quiet dignity and power are a perfect example of "strength being made perfect in weakness ", a concept that the country in the year 2005 still doesn't get. Through an act of non-violence, many lives were saved and irrevocable changes were made. Although, many people in our current world don't understand the sacrifice required to enact change, it is sure that they will never allow a reversal of changes already set in motion. You can now assign her a seat amongst the greatest heroes in the fight for Justice. Her praises should be sung like a national anthem. Without people like her the words would remain empty and trite. In memorium of her life, each individual touched by her contribution can walk, sing, fight, laugh, and live a lot more proud and much more free

Come on out and join me as I minister in song at this great event. Sherry has a vision of excellence. She has a passion to educate the community by sharing valuable information and resources.I look forward to seeing you there I we all lift up the name of Jesus!
