In August of 1975, God called and Phyllis answered. Spreading the gospel through song is the mission, reaching the lost and dying world is the goal.

Phyllis has a style of music all her own. Her style of singing has been described as a mixture of tradition /contemporary gospel with a touch of jazz thrown in for good measure.

Phyllis was born in Mobile, Alabama with a family rooted and grounded in Jesus. Her love for gospel music began as a child. During her youth she remembers being awakened every morning by the voice of her mother singing gospel hymns and songs of praise.

Phyllis has ministered in live concerts; gospel stage performances, community events nationwide and most recently Monte go Bay, Jamaica, leading her audience into praise and adoration of the Lord Jesus Christ. She plans to travel to Uganda, East Africa in the near future to share her personal testimony and ministry in song with the people of God.

Currently, Phyllis is set to debut her CD "New Beginning" August 30, 2008.  Her debut CD follows her successful demo CD released in 2005 to rave reviews.  Phyllis received a testimony regarding the demo CD that was so powerful.  An elderly woman was going home to be with the Lord requested her daughter to play the song "Because He Lives" from Phyllis CD cover and over.  She took her last breath comforted by this popular tune.

Phyllis has a passion for winning souls by sharing the Word of God and ministering in song.  Her favorite scripture is Psalms 34 verse "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth".
